After 10 – 12 Weeks Gestation of a Surrogacy in Texas
At about 10-12 weeks gestation, the Intended Parents physician will discharge the Gestational Carrier as a patient and the Gestation Carrier will begin to see an OB GYN of her choice or one that has been mutually selected by the parties. The pregnancy will proceed normally as any other pregnancy.
The Last Trimester of a Gestational Surrogacy
During the last trimester, the parties will have the pre-birth order and usually the Gestational Carrier and Intended Mother (or both Intended Parents) will go to the hospital where delivery will occur and
- register for delivery and
- provide the hospital with the Pre-Birth Order of Parentage so that the hospital is aware it is a surrogacy pregnancy.
Most hospitals in the area are familiar with gestational surrogacy pregnancies and have had experience with them. If not however, Katrina Cassidy P.C. may be contacted at any time for assistance.
